Our European-based client acquired a UK-based manufacturing subsidiary company and wanted to recruit additional senior leadership team members to improve top-line sales and take performance and the business culture to the next level.
To recruit a HR Director, Finance Director, Marketing Controller, Grocery Controller, Category Controller, Sales Director, two Senior National Account Managers and a NPD Controller
Recruitment was carried out in predetermined stages over a nine-month period. Engagements were made in a logical order, which enabled the business to attract and retain the best talent.
HR was first, followed by the remaining roles. Once HRD was in place, the recruitment process was refined, with clearly defined job briefs, timescales, and regular updates with the European owners and UK-based MD.
All candidates were headhunted, and a thorough search of the market was undertaken to identify the top talent; candidates were interviewed, reference checked and submitted to the client in under two weeks of being briefed.
Initial first-stage meetings were held with the UK MD, followed by second stages involving the European owners.
All roles were filled, and all are still in the business. Work has begun on another project. The European parent company asked us to secure a further Commercial Director for another UK-based acquisition.
